MONALDA TOWER SUITE
Highlights
The Presidential Suite Torre Monalda offers a truly unique Florentine experience.
Located in the historic medieval tower, this exclusive suite features a breathtaking 360-degree panoramic view over the entire city of Florence.
The precise date of construction is unknown but the Monaldi family was certainly its owner during the end of the Middle Ages. Thus the tower keeps the name "Monalda" as well as "Rognosa” (troublesome), due to its resistance of court injunctions to lower its height, it being a metre taller than the others. The Monaldis were still the owners when, in 1477, Bartolomeo Bartolini bought part of the tower, subsequently assigning the young architect Baccio d'Anelo the task of its general restructuring The opening onto Via Porta Rossa, on the first floor. He overlooked a series of"sporti" projections that stretch more than a metre over the street and are characteristic of the building's facade. Only on the last three floors does the tower conserve its architectural autonomy.
Elegant, timeless, and rich in character, it's more than just stay—it's a journey through history and beauty right in the heart of the Renaissance!
Perfect for guests seeking exclusivity, history, and an elevated sense of privacy, the Torre Monalda Suite transforms a stay into an unforgettable Florentine experience.
