Tivoli Hotels & Resorts Support Elephant Parade Floripa 2016

The Tivoli Hotels & Resorts network will be participating in the Elephant Parade Floripa 2016, running from 10 December 2015 to 2 April 2016, with an elephant designed by the Thai Consul, Thassanee Wanick. The project sponsored by Tivoli will be on show on Avenida Beira Mar North in the Santa Catarina capital and part of the money raised from the sale of the sculptures is for elephant conservation projects and Florianópolis charitable organizations. Made of fibre glass measuring 1.5 metres in height and 70kg in weight, the elephant sculpture which will bear the Tivoli name is in tribute to 88th  birthday - on 5 December - of the Thai king and head of state, Bhumibol Adulyadej. “The aim of Tivoli Hotels & Resorts is to bring art to our hotels as well as support good causes such as the Elephant Parade. Sponsoring a sculpture which pays tribute to the country of origin of the Minor Hotel Group, which is now involved in the Brazilian market after the acquisition of the Tivoli network, fits perfectly with Tivoli's promotion of the arts. Thassanee has done an amazing job and we're sure that her work will be enjoyed by everybody”, said Cristian Bernardi, marketing and sales director of Tivoli Hotels & Resorts in Brazil.Florianópolis will be the first city in Latin America to hold the Elephant Parade, which this time will feature around 80 sculptures. Elephant Parade came about with the goal of helping a baby elephant in Thailand, Mosha, who lost one of her feet when she stood a mine when she was just six months old. The parade has already been to 15 different locations around the world: Holland, Belgium, Germany, London, Luxembourg, Denmark, Norway, the Netherlands, Italy, California, the UK, Copenhagen, the USA , Hong Kong and Singapore.
