Zuma Returns to the Shores of Anantara Layan Phuket Resort

This festive season, Zuma returns to Anantara Layan, treating Phuket to award-winning contemporary Japanese cuisine. Zuma transforms Sala Layan into a beachfront flavour festival not to be missed from 15 December 2018 to 15 February 2019. The first pop-up in 2016 was so popular, that it is now an annual event, with more and more fun-loving foodies converging on this holiday treat each year.

With eleven locations in major culinary capitals such as New York, London, and Hong Kong, Zuma elevates izakaya dining with the finest ingredients prepared by expert hands. Izakaya is an informal dining style, in which formal courses are replaced with small dishes that can be shared. This creates a casual, fun experience where diners can taste multiple dishes, savouring favourites and discovering new delights.

Delights that will pop-up with Zuma this festive season include spicy beef tenderloin with sesame and sweet soy sauce, thin-sliced seabass with yuzu truffle oil and salmon roe, and miso-marinated black cod wrapped in hoba leaf. Whether from the main kitchen, grill, or sushi counter, guests can enjoy these modern takes on traditional Japanese flavours while DJs spin mellow tunes in a breezy beachfront atmosphere. Zuma’s pop-up restaurant at Anantara Layan will take over this slice of Phuket paradise, enticing connoisseurs from near and far through the holidays, ending the day after Valentine’s Day.
