Tivoli Palácio de Seteais to host Ritual of the Moon Retreat
The majestic Tivoli Palácio de Seteais in Portugal’s Sintra Mountains is an elegant and peaceful retreat for a relaxing break. This spring, from 22nd to 29th April 2018, the beautiful 18th century palace hotel will host the first Ritual of the Moon Retreat with leading Portuguese yoga instructor, Patrícia de Herédia. During the six-night retreat, guests will enjoy a perfectly balanced combination of yoga, walking, hiking, healthy nutrition, body and mind detox, massage and relaxation, before returning home feeling lighter, healthier, happier and more focused.
The hotel is delighted to be working with Patrícia de Herédia to create this exclusive retreat blending the unique setting of Tivoli Palácio de Seteais and the World Heritage setting of Sintra with a spiritual and physical healing.
Patrícia has been studying and practicing yoga for almost 20 years. She is a Senior Yoga Teacher certified by YAUK (Yoga Alliance United Kingdom) and has been teaching, organising courses, workshops and events relating to yoga for the last 14 years. Patrícia is also trained in nutrition, Ayurvedic massage and stress relief therapies. Patrícia’s other great passion is painting. Through her years of study and practice of these two passions, she brings a special and unique perspective to this programme.
Guests of all abilities are warmly invited to join Patricia for daily yoga sessions which are based on the main traditional lineages of yoga and carefully tailored to each participant’s needs and requirements.
Walking, hiking and breathing in nature is an important aspect for the detox and cleaning process of the retreat. Moreover, it allows participants to absorb the culture and history of beautiful Sintra, while visiting its World Heritage Monuments and taking in its striking architecture. Guests will have the opportunity to explore some of the most stunning sceneries and landscapes of the Serra de Sintra and mystic Monte da Lua.
A balanced and nutritious diet plan will be created for each participant, customised to their specific needs. Using seasonal, local and organic produce in all meals to showcase the best Portuguese traditional cuisine in its healthiest form. Meals will be delicious and filling, though keeping the program’s healthy approach.
During their stay, guests will have ample opportunity to enjoy the Anantara Spa which is rooted in Asian traditions yet imbued with indigenous and authentic elements unique to an historical palace and the picturesque town of Sintra. Based on timeless healing traditions, the Anantara Spa’s tranquil surroundings will help to restore the necessary balance of body and mind. The luxuriously appointed spa treatment rooms and Vichy Experience leaves guests feeling invigorated and revitalised.
Participants can look forward to an enjoyable, safe, fluid and relaxed programme that will awaken a concern to care for their body, mind and spirit and in doing so, contribute to an increased sense of joy and happiness.
