Southeast Asia’s Number 1 Resort Introduces a Chiang Mai Staycation Offer
Anantara Chiang Mai Resort has introduced a staycation offer that is ideal for exploring the Old City’s famous night bazaar, ruins and temples from one of Chiang Mai’s most exclusive neighbourhoods.
The luxury riverside retreat in the heart of Chiang Mai has been named the winner in the Top 10 Southeast Asia Resort Hotels category in the annual Travel + Leisure 2020 World’s Best Awards. Anantara Chiang Mai Resort also cracked the 22nd spot on the Top 100 Hotels in the World list and 5th spot in the Top 15 Resort Hotels in Asia category. The World’s Best is a travel awards program run by the prestigious Travel + Leisure magazine in the USA and is based on an annual reader survey.
Starting from THB 17,000 net for up to two people staying in a Deluxe Garden View Room for two nights, the offer includes a sumptuous daily breakfast and a decadent afternoon tea for two designed by world-famous pâtissier and Michelin-starred Chef Roger Van Damme from Belgium. Guests are also treated to one complimentary light energy session of yoga, Tai Chi or meditation.
Higher category room types, suites and family suites are also available.
The resort has also implemented Anantara’s Stay with Peace of Mind programme, with enhanced health and safety measures that have been certified by the Tourism Authority of Thailand. In addition to enhanced levels of sanitation to ensure guests’ health and safety throughout their stay, social distancing has been implemented in all public spaces, and maximum flexibility is offered for rebooking stays.
Thai travellers are also encouraged to take advantage of the government’s Rao Thiew Duay Kan offer which covers 40%, or up to THB 3,000 per room per night. Guests will also receive an e-voucher worth up to THB 600 per night to spend on dining, spa or however they please.
