4 Fantastic Melbourne Festivals You Must Attend!

Melbourne is known to be the home of festivals, and there’s certainly a plethora of international events hosted in this colourful city that are not to be missed but there’s also an thriving underbelly of lesser known festivals the locals have been enjoying all to themselves. Here’s our favourite four festivals sure to blow your socks off. 

1. LONSDALE STREET GREEK FESTIVAL

2017 marks the 30th Lonsdale Street Greek Festival and it is just one of Melbourne’s hidden festivals that you are sure to love. Held on the 25th and 26th February it is Melbourne’s biggest Greek street party filled with culture, colour, food and entertainment, Oaks on Lonsdale is the perfect place to stay just steps from all the action. 2. BRUNSWICK MUSIC FESTIVAL

The Brusnwick Music Festival is held every year in March and it features a colourful and diverse mix of multicultural artists from around the corner and across the globe. The festival showcases the best in acoustic, folk & roots music and it is an event that is sure to bring out the hipster in you. 3. DONUT AND BEER FESTIVAL

They are a viral trend that is truly your friend and trust Melbourne to have a festival that celebrates their deliciousness! The Donut and Beer Fest is the latest edition to Melbourne’s never ending food festivals and it is held on Sunday March 12 at The Village on St Kilda Road. This festival is popping with yeast filled chocolate oozing sprinkle topped bundles of goodness and don’t forget the beer, you won’t go thirsty with an array of craft beers to match your sweet treat. You won’t need to feel guilty about munching down on as many donuts as you can squeeze in because it is all for a good cause funding local charity Eat Up who makes and delivers hundreds of lunches a month to schools in Melbourne and surrounding suburbs to feed impoverished school children. 4. LA DI DA LANEWAY FOOD TRUCK FESTIVAL

Melbourne is renowned for food festivals and this is one that is sure to delight with a fiesta of food on hand from Melbourne’s most popular food trucks. The La Di Da Laneway Food Truck Festival is an open air garden laneway event that is held just off Bourke Street in the City.
